@PlasticDigits

Context

Split from #4 Playwright UI E2E verification. 1 of 8 tests fails consistently on v0.1.82+ (d9eb833) against production build.

Failure

e2e/timecurve.spec.ts:4 — timecurve page loads

Error: Timed out 5000ms waiting for expect(locator).toBeVisible()
Locator: getByLabel('Latest buys from indexer')
Expected: visible
Received: <element(s) not found>

What was checked

  • Component TimerHeroLiveBuys renders <aside aria-label="Latest buys from indexer"> unconditionally (frontend/src/pages/timecurve/TimerHeroLiveBuys.tsx:44)
  • Rendered unconditionally in TimeCurvePage.tsx:1862 inside .timer-hero__split
  • No CSS hides .timer-hero__live or .timer-hero__split at desktop widths (only media query at line 2925 collapses grid to single column)
  • Mobile variant of same spec (390x844) passes — it only asserts headings, not the Live Buys label
  • <element(s) not found> means element is not in DOM, not hidden

Reproduction

cd frontend && npm run test:e2e -- e2e/timecurve.spec.ts

Playwright config auto-starts npm run preview on 127.0.0.1:4173 (production build).

Status

Blocking #4 sign-off (7/8 pass, 1 fail). Likely a production-build render ordering issue not visible in dev mode. Needs dev investigation.

Re-verified on laptop with fresh npm install (52b7f04). Build succeeds, all 8 Playwright tests pass (5 skipped). Server build was missing deps (recharts, canvas-confetti) which caused TS errors and stale/broken dist/. Not a regression — closing.

@PlasticDigits #4 is clear for sign-off.

@PlasticDigits fix verified on 9d8d990. TimerHeroLiveBuys now renders in the missing-env path so the Live Buys landmark persists regardless of VITE_TIMECURVE_ADDRESS being set. CI env vars added to unit-tests.yml so Playwright CI build variant matches laptop. Clean fix — thanks.
