Description

The Connect a Wallet modal intermittently opens without displaying the wallet selection options on the left side. The modal itself appears, and the wallet information panel is visible, but the selectable wallet connectors are missing.

Expected Result

The Connect Wallet modal should consistently show available wallet options/connectors.

Actual Result

The wallet selection area sometimes appears blank, preventing wallet selection.

Impact

This may temporarily block wallet connection testing, but the issue is intermittent and not consistently reproducible at this time.

Notes

This is logged as low priority because the issue is intermittent and there is currently insufficient information to identify the root cause or provide a reliable fix. opened !386 for this. root cause was deterministic — local .env.local without VITE_WALLETCONNECT_PROJECT_ID falls into the createConfig({ connectors: [injected()] }) branch in wagmi-config.ts while AppProviders.tsx still wraps the app in <RainbowKitProvider>. modal mounts but with no wallets groups passed at config time → blank left panel. EIP-6963 announce timing is what makes it feel intermittent.

prod (yieldomega.com) is not affected — bundle has projectId baked in, hits branch 2.

fix swaps branch 3 to getDefaultConfig with a placeholder projectId + reduced wallet group (safe / metamask / safepal — dropped walletConnectWallet / rainbowWallet / baseAccount since they need a real WC project to function). new wagmi-config.test.ts covers all 3 branches.
